Well, it's Friday but that isn't the end of the week for me - working in the clinic tomorrow morning and kennels tomorrow night. Plus a busy day getting boarders in. The kennel will be almost full this Memorial weekend so the day was spent taking care of the kennel stuff.
Not much 'gross' pictures today. We have an interesting case - a dog with tetanus we think. We don't see it much but it is a big danger on farms that might have old nails laying around. Farm animals are usually vaccinated against it due to castration and dehorning which increases the likelihood of getting it. The muscles become stiff and eventually the animal can't breath. There is an antitoxin and the dog has now been treated and is on penicillin and fluids. I hope he comes out of it!
